In the North Island of New Zealand, Hogie meets Paikea, a Maori boy who is keen to fulfil his dream of riding a whale just like his namesake! But riding a whale is not easy business and Hogie tries to think of a way to help Paikea achieve his dream in an imaginative way.

Bernie is really excited to find out that they are going to Cairo today, gateway to the pyramids and home to many Egyptian Mummies! But whilst hunting in the souk for some fersikh (fish) with their new friend Nadia, they get a little closer to a mummy than they had anticipated!

New York is a big place, with lots of things to see and do. Luckily for Hogie he makes friends with Marie who shows them around. And luckily for Marie she makes friends with the gang who might just be able to help her figure out an angle for her school project.

Hogie has lots of preconceived notions of what the Wild West should look like, so when they meet Mandy on her modern day ranch, they are a bit surprised to find out that things are not how they imagined. But an adventure chasing a run away cow helps them all find that some things never change.
