In “Taking Flight!” we are taken on a winged journey through BENNY BAT’s day as he explains his flying style. His thin hairy wings are great for gettng around town. His large ears have a special ability, and let him use echo-location to see things through sound even when it’s too dark for his little bat eyes to see.
The Leisler’s bat is an aerial-hawking species, all his food (insects mainly) is caught and eaten in flight. When it comes time to chill-out and relax after all that flying, Benny likes to settle down in his cool Bat Roost.
