In this episode Ibn Battuta waits out the battle for three nights. The aftermath of the battle led to the destruction of all the ships present at the port and the damage was of devastating proportions with ships to only be available once again in the near future. As such, Ibn Battuta remapped his course of travel, leaving Aydhab and returning to Egypt, then headed to Salhiyeh in Damascus, and through it he entered Gaza, where he was eager to visit the library built by al-Zahir Baybars. On his way back from the library, he meets a girl who was disguised as a man, and he goes along with her to the palace of Sultan Nur al-Din, who is holding her father due to his hosting of Abba Yacoub, who through an elixir could change items into gold.
